380gsm Cotton Fleece
We specify 380gsm weight cotton fleece with our manufacturing partner. Standard midlayers run at 280gsm. We chose heavier because weight communicates quality before a hand is raised. The drape is different. The feel is different. You know it when you pick it up.
Bespoke Brass Hardware
Every zipper pull, every grommet, is custom-manufactured from marine-grade brass and stamped with the OVAL winged-ball logo. Brass ages with you, it doesn’t wear out, it wears in. That’s the point.
Navy Elbow Patches
Cut from the same heavyweight cotton, the elbow patches serve a structural purpose, reinforcing the area of highest wear, while carrying the visual signature of the classic rugby shirt tradition.
Saddle Leather Hem Patch
A hand-stitched saddle leather patch at the hem, debossed with EST. 2026. It’s not decoration. It’s a date. A promise. The year we decided no more compromises.

Design
Every OVAL piece begins with a brief rooted in function. We prototype in-house using 3D knitting forms before any fabric is cut.
Sourcing
Materials pass a twelve-point quality audit. No substitutions are made in production without a new sign-off.
Construction
Cut and sewn by our manufacturing partner, in Los Angeles for US orders and at their overseas facilities for everywhere else. Every garment is inspected before it is packed.
Quality Control
A final inspection checks 22 individual points, from zipper action and thread tension to the colour consistency of the brass hardware.
