We didn’t set out to build a brand. We set out to build the garment we couldn’t find, one worthy of the game we love.
The game gave us everything.
OVAL was founded by Nick Starr.
Rugby is a sport built on trust, discipline, and the quiet pride of wearing your club’s colours. We believed the garments that accompany that experience should carry the same weight. So we started from scratch.
Every garment begins with the cloth: chosen for its weight and handle, cut for a fit that holds its shape, and kept back until the details are right. We would rather take the time than rush the work.

The XV isn’t a number. It’s a covenant. Every product we make is built for the relationship between fifteen players who choose to carry each other.

We will never compromise on materials, construction, or time to get a product out faster. If it’s not right, it doesn’t ship.
